1.6 Narrative & Framing
Narrative & Framing is the capability to shape meaning by organizing information into clear, coherent stories that guide understanding and decision-making. It combines sensemaking, message structure, and contextual framing.
Why Narrative & Framing matters
Facts alone rarely drive alignment or action. How information is framed determines what people notice, how they interpret events, and whether they commit to a direction. Strong narrative capability improves clarity, alignment, and strategic coherence.

Storytelling Basics develops the fundamental skills required to craft and deliver engaging stories in professional and everyday contexts.
The course introduces the core elements of a compelling story — character, goal, obstacle, and resolution — and explores classic narrative structures such as the three-act model and common plot patterns. Participants learn how stories create emotional connection, enhance memory, and bring abstract ideas to life.
Through structured exercises and practical examples, participants practice building clear story arcs, strengthening emotional impact, and refining their narratives using storytelling devices such as analogy, metaphor, simile, sensory language, and vivid detail. The course also introduces rhetorical appeals and techniques that enhance persuasive impact within storytelling.
Emphasis is placed on clarity, authenticity, and audience engagement. Participants write, refine, and deliver their own short stories, receiving guided feedback to improve structure, focus, and delivery.
